James joined Residential Estates in July 2021 as our Investment Consultant, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in finance and property.
After completing his university studies, James began his career in the banking sector, progressing from Mortgage Broker and Financial Advisor roles to leading the retail network of a regional building society. His strong interest in property eventually led him to transition into the estate agency world, where he spent a decade with 2 of the UK’s largest property groups, achieving director level. During his time, he also developed his own property portfolio in Bristol.
In his current role, James specialises in advising clients on how to structure property investments to align with their financial goals and lifestyle needs. He takes a consultative approach, carefully assessing both present and long term client objectives. James is passionate about introducing clients to the advantages of owning properties that operate on the short term let model - highlighting the income potential, flexibility, and long term growth benefits that STL can offer.
James is known for his ability to simplify the investment process and guide clients toward tailored solutions that balance risk and reward, ensuring each investment is a strong fit.
Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his family, especially watching his children play football. A former rugby player himself, he remains a keen supporter of Bristol Rugby and loves taking family holidays whenever time allows.
