At Residential Estates, we are proud to support Barrow Cricket Club - a cornerstone of the community since 1890. Located just ten minutes from Chester city centre, Barrow CC is a thriving, family-friendly cricket club set in one of Cheshire’s most picturesque grounds. With a strong emphasis on community and development, the club runs five senior men’s teams, a vibrant women’s team - The Barownessess, and a growing junior section welcoming players from Under 7s to Under 17s.

We are proud to sponsor Barrow Cricket Club as their main shirt sponsor for the past two years. Our Managing Director, who also plays for the club, shared his thoughts on the partnership:

Barrow’s mission is simple: to foster a safe, supportive and pressure-free environment where players of all ages can enjoy the game and develop their skills - whether for fun, fitness, or future ambition. Many of today’s senior players came through the club’s junior ranks, with some even progressing to county level.

On the competitive front, Barrow fields two Saturday league teams:

First XI: Competing in Division Two of the Cheshire County Cricket League
Second XI: Playing in the UK Fast League Division B West

The club proudly hosts Cheshire County representative fixtures and is home to the Cheshire disabled team, further underlining its importance in the local and regional cricketing community.
